Wild boar is an alternative protein source, often well-tolerated by sensitive dogs. But two things need to be distinguished:

•Dried boar hidesThey contain mainly collagen and very few allergenic proteins: they are therefore suitable for sensitive dogs and can be considered asallergy-friendly.

•Dried boar earsThey, on the other hand, contain some flesh, cartilage and fat: they provide more protein, but alsoa risk of cross-allergywith the pig, because these two animals belong to the same biological family (the Suidae).

In summary: boar skin is ideal for allergic dogs, while boar ear is perfect for sensitive but non-allergic dogs.
